This policy covers garrettgosselink.com (the “site”), operated by Garrett Gosselink. It explains what information the site collects, why, and what happens to it.
What this site collects
- If you use the Contact form: your name, email address, subject line, and message.
- If you sign up through the email popup: your email address, for a newsletter that is not currently active (see below).
The site does not otherwise collect personal information about visitors. It does not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar visitor-tracking tool.
How this information is used
- Contact form submissions are emailed directly to Garrett and read personally. They are not added to any mailing list, CRM, or database — they exist only in his email inbox, for as long as he keeps that email.
- The email popup collects addresses for a planned newsletter (“G2 Newsletter”) that has not launched. No marketing emails are currently sent to anyone who signs up. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
Who else sees this information
- Akismet (a spam-filtering service) checks form submissions to filter spam before they reach Garrett’s inbox.
- Sumo operates the email signup popup and holds any addresses collected through it.
- Embedded Twitter/X content (follow and tweet buttons, timeline) is loaded directly from Twitter/X and is subject to Twitter/X’s own privacy policy — Twitter/X may set its own cookies or collect data from visitors who interact with that content, independent of this site.
This site does not sell personal information, and does not share it with anyone beyond the service providers named above.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies, including one to remember your cookie-consent choice, and any cookies set by the embedded Twitter/X content described above. It does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
How long information is kept
Contact form messages are kept only as long as Garrett keeps that email in his inbox — there’s no separate storage. Newsletter signup addresses are held by Sumo until the newsletter either launches (at which point this policy will be updated) or the signup list is deleted.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Links to other sites
Blog posts on this site may link to outside articles, tools, or resources. This policy doesn’t cover those sites — check their own privacy policies if you’re concerned.
Your choices
To ask what information this site has about you, or to have it deleted, email ggosselink@kbstrategists.com. Since almost everything described above lives in a personal email inbox rather than a database, most requests can be handled by simply deleting the relevant email.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or does with information changes — for example, if the newsletter actually launches — this policy will be updated, with a new “last updated” date above.
